March News: Cupping & Self Care

Cupping & Self-Care:
New & Improved Cupping techniques + Virtual or In-person Self Care Consultations

Sports-Focused Cupping

This Sports-focused 30-minute Cupping session provides a clinical approach to separate those tough knots.

Techniques include gliding cups, static cups, and/or functional movement. Dark circles may appear that are a sign of stagnation within the body. Do not plan to exercise for the remainder of the day, avoid cold/heat for 4-6 hours, and do not receive other bodywork for 24 hours to avoid overloading the system. Please wear comfortable clothing to move in such as exercise shorts, and sports bra for women.


Self Care Consultations
 Unsure of how to perform that self care technique? Let’s assess whether your technique is accomplishing what you need it to, learn about self massage, how to use a foam roller, assess your yoga pose/posture, etc. Let’s chat about how you can keep yourself up and running!
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in.

New Practitioner & Service:

CranioSacral Therapy with Gina Russomano

CranioSacral Therapy focuses on the central nervous system—the command center for the body – which is why it can be used to address so many different and often complex conditions. By improving the function of the central nervous system, CST aims to improve the body’s ability to heal and self-correct itself, from head to toe inside and out. As a practitioner, I aim to release restrictions that may be impacting the craniosacral system—the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid – that surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord. CST balances the autonomic nervous system, allowing for a deep relaxation which allows the receiver to function better.


As you saw from a previous newsletter, Nicole Martin is focusing her services on career coaching. She is the Head of Talent Management for Monarch Consulting HR and has over 15 years of Human Resources experience in both large corporations and small start-ups. 

Wellness Lab is excited to partner with Monarch Consulting HR to expand on services both for the individual and small business owner. Career coaching services include:

  • Resume editing
  • Cover letter ideas
  • Personal branding, and
  • Mock interviews

As a small business owner, your business needs are unique – your HR support should be too. Monarch Consulting HR provides personalized HR outsourcing services including:

  • Compliance assessments
  • Strategic staffing

Jane, our Registered Dietitian, is moving on to a Full Time Directorship position at a hospital this month. We loved having her here at Wellness Lab, and wish her all the best on this next path. Please join me in sending her a warm farewell!
